طراحی شده توسط برنده جایزه معماری پریتزکر شگرو بان، خانه‌های شاتر فلزی یک کاندومینیوم بوتیک است که در یک خیابان آرام در چلسی واقع شده است. این کاندومینیوم دو طبقه روشن، یک خانه ۳ خوابه و ۳ حمامی است که در طبقه دوم ساختمان واقع شده و بیانگر لوکس بودن معاصر شهری است. با سقف‌های ۲۰ فوتی و دو فضای خارجی خصوصی که شامل یک باغ به مساحت تقریبی ۳۵۰ فوت مربع با دید به جنوب است که از طریق دیوارهای شیشه‌ای به طور کامل قابل جمع شدن قابل دسترسی است، هر fixture و finish این آپارتمان ۱,۹۸۶ فوت مربعی به طور دستی انتخاب شده است و هیچ جزئیاتی نادیده گرفته نشده است. ویژگی‌ها شامل کفپوش‌های چوبی بلوط سفید بی‌نظیر، دسترسی با آسانسور قفل‌دار به هر دو سطح، ماشین لباسشویی/خشک‌کن در منزل، و شاترهای فلزی سوراخ‌دار موتوری است.

ساختمان تنها یک نیم‌بلوک از خط بالایی و راه سبز رود هادسون فاصله دارد و در محاصره تعدادی از رستوران‌ها، بارها، کافی‌شاپ‌ها، گالری‌ها و فروشگاه‌های مد روز از جمله بازار چلسی قرار دارد. خطوط متروی نزدیک شامل A، C، E و L است. یک دربان تمام‌وقت خدمات رسانی به ساختمان را انجام می‌دهد.

Designed by Pritzker Architecture Prize winner Shigeru Ban, Metal Shutter Houses is a boutique condominium situated on a quiet street in Chelsea. A luminous duplex condo, this floor-through 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom home situated on the second floor of the building is a sleek expression of contemporary city luxury. With airy 20-ft ceilings and a pair of private outdoor spaces that includes an appx. 350 sq. ft. south-facing garden accessible through a fully retractable floor-to-ceiling glass walls, every fixture and finish of this 1,986 sq. ft. apartment has been hand selected, and no detail has been overlooked.
